The firm has also promoted Beth Chun, Alison Frimmel, Ken Kanzawa, and Alex Schneider to special counsel. “These attorneys have shown great skill in their work and have built strong relationships with clients and colleagues,” said Dana Rosenfeld, the firm’s managing partner. “Their promotions reflect their excellent performance and service to clients. These promotions come from important practice areas of the firm. Here are the newest partners:
Rebecca Durrant (Litigation): Rebecca helps clients through all stages of complex business lawsuits in federal and state courts and in arbitration. She handles class actions, arbitrations, contract disputes, and general business disputes. Rebecca finds solutions that benefit clients at every stage, from early dispute resolution to trial. She is a member of the California and New York Bars.
Beth Johnson (International Trade): Beth has over 15 years of experience representing clients in federal courts and agencies. She focuses on international trade issues, like antidumping and countervailing duty investigations. Beth also advises clients on U.S. customs matters. She has handled many complex trade issues for major clients and has represented clients in commercial and federal litigation. She is a member of the District of Columbia and Virginia Bars.
The new special counsels are:
Beth Chun (Advertising and Marketing): Beth advises on State Attorneys General investigations and consumer protection. She helps clients with consumer complaints, inquiries, and subpoenas, dealing with marketing, privacy, and other consumer protection matters. Beth also has experience with automatic renewal law compliance. Before joining Kelley Drye, she worked at the Texas Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division. She is a member of the Texas and District of Columbia Bars.
Alison Frimmel (Labor and Employment): Alison represents clients in labor and employment law cases in federal and state courts. She handles discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, wage and hour, breach of contract, and tort claims. Alison advises clients on employment law developments, workplace accommodations, policy development, and conducts workplace investigations. She clerked for the Honorable Kimberly Espinales-Maloney in New Jersey. She is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars.
Ken Kanzawa (Government Contracts): Ken focuses on government contracts litigation and counseling. As a former NASA lawyer, he has a unique perspective on bid protests, contract disputes, subcontract negotiation, small business contracting, and compliance issues. He regularly appears before the U.S. Government Accountability Office, U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and Boards of Contract Appeals. He is a member of the District of Columbia and Virginia Bars.
Alex Schneider (Privacy and Information Security): Alex advises on information privacy, security, advertising, marketing, and consumer protection law. He helps clients with market entry, new initiatives, due diligence, and corporate transactions. Alex also negotiates and drafts cloud service, data processing, and e-commerce agreements. He represents clients in investigations by the Federal Trade Commission and State Attorneys General. He is a member of the District of Columbia and Massachusetts Bars.
