The 2024 Iowa State Fair is just weeks away, bringing lots of new, creative foods. This year, the fair announced 84 new foods, including unique options like a BLT on a stick. Last year, “What’s Your Cheez’s” deep-fried bacon brisket mac and cheese grilled cheese won the title for best new fair food. A food judging contest is scheduled for 1 p.m. on July 16.
